IOTA is one of the most promising up and coming projects in the crpyto world. With their fantastic partnerships and ground breaking Tangle technology, IOTA is taking the world by storm. With a capped limited supply of IOTA, it’s not hard to see why everyone is getting on the IOTA train before it explodes in value.

You have 3 options when it comes to buying/storing your IOTA:

IOTA Wallet

The IOTA wallet from their Github is only for storing your IOTA in. It’s the piggy bank you can move your coins to if you want. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you know what you are doing. Documentation for the wallet is also on Github .

Exchanges

Exchanges (like Bitfinex or Binance) are where you trade other cryptos to buy IOTA. Usually you would need to trade Bitcoin or Ethereum. If the exchange doesn’t let you buy Bitcoin or Ethereum, you will need to buy them elsewhere and transfer them to the exchange

Managed wallets

Managed wallets (like Coinspot) let you buy with fiat $$ and will hold your IOTA for you until you transfer it out. Their fees are usually a little bit higher to compensate them for holding your coins.

You can find a list of exchanges trading IOTA here.
